Submission of Abstracts

The Organising Committee of the Leura VI International Breast Cancer Conference invites you to submit an abstract(s) for consideration as a poster presentation.

Abstracts should be no longer than 500 words and must be submitted using the abstract template provided.

Summary of Abstract Submission Instructions

Please read through the submission instructions listed below before preparing your abstract:

Step 1: Read the General Policies and Requirements for the submission of abstracts.
Step 2: Write your abstract following the Abstract Format & Layout Guidelines.
Step 3: Download the Abstract Template and insert/add your abstract text. Save as a .doc document to your computer. Please note: Abstracts must not exceed the 500 word limit.
Step 4: Click on the button below to complete the Abstract Submission Form. It will be necessary to attach/upload the .doc copy of your abstract.
NOTE: Please print a copy of the abstract submission form for your records prior to clicking 'upload'.

Notification of Acceptance

All abstracts are subject to peer review and the Conference Organising Committee are the final decision makers on all abstract submissions. Notifications of acceptance will be sent via e-mail to the submitting author on the 21st July 2008. Please note: all authors of accepted abstracts are expected to register and pay for the Conference by the 7th August 2008 to ensure their abstract is included in the final scientific program.

All accepted abstracts will be published in the Leura VI Conference Proceedings. The Conference Managers will not be held responsible for abstract submissions not received via the website or for submission errors caused by Internet service outages, hardware or software delays, power outages or unforeseen events.

Failure to Present

Once an abstract is accepted for inclusion in the Conference Program, it is the responsibility of the presenting author to ensure that the abstract submitted is presented. If for some unforeseen reason the presenting author is unable to present the abstract they must notify the Conference Managers of their situation. It is preferable that the abstract be presented by one of the listed co-authors.

Langland's Best Poster Prize

Entry for this Award is by submission of an abstract. Submissions which do not meet the General Policies and Requirements in addition to the individual Award guidelines may be disqualified. The judges' decision is final. Please refer to the abstract scoring criteria for judging guidelines.
