REPRESENTATION OPPORTUNITIES NOW AVAILABLE
From 28 June to 7 July 2011 Melbourne will be hosting the 25th General Assembly of the International Union for Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG). We expect 5,000 earth scientists (who study both the solid earth and its fluid environment) to come to Victoria for this event. In its 90 year history, this is only the second time that the General Assembly has come to Australia and in 2011 Melbourne, Australia will certainly be the gateway to the entire Asia Pacific Region.
This premier international event will undoubtedly provide the largest and most significant marketing platform across each of the eight IUGG association industries throughout the entire Asia-Pacific region and internationally. Opportunities for sponsorship and exhibition representation are now available and we strongly encourage you to consider this for your marketing strategy.
About IUGG:
International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG) is a non-governmental, scientific organisation, established in 1919 and is one of the 30 scientific Unions presently grouped within the International Council for Science (ICSU). IUGG is dedicated to the international promotion and coordination of scientific studies of Earth (physical, chemical, and mathematical) and its environment in space. These studies include the shape of the Earth, its gravitational and magnetic fields, the dynamics of the Earth as a whole and of its component parts, the Earth's internal structure, composition and tectonics, the generation of magmas, volcanism and rock formation, the hydrological cycle including snow and ice, all aspects of the oceans, the atmosphere, ionosphere, magnetosphere and solar-terrestrial relations, and analogous problems associated with the Moon and other planets. IUGG encourages the application of this knowledge to societal needs, such as mineral resources, mitigation of natural hazards and environmental preservation.
IUGG 2011 General Assembly:
The IUGG 2011 General Assembly will be marked by a scientific program of outstanding plenary speakers, a comprehensive program of state of the art symposia organised by each of the eight IUGG associations, a compelling keynote speakers program, and the highlight of IUGG conferences, an inter-disciplinary, inter-association program of symposia addressing major scientific issues of global and regional significance and concern. This provides premium alignment and marketing opportunities for sponsoring and exhibiting companies to strengthen industry awareness, flex your corporate branding muscle, liaise and network with key industry stakeholders and / or generate direct sales leads or sign vital business through the 2011 General Assembly. Australia is very proud to be host country for IUGG 2011 and it is certainly an opportunity to include into your marketing strategy.
