To register for the ASC/NZSA Conference 2006, please register on-line by clicking on the 'Register' button below.
Participation is open to all persons interested in Statistics. Each registrant must fill in a separate form.
Please note that all persons intending to attend the Conference must register, including Invited Paper Speakers, Organisers, Chairpersons and Presenters of Contributed Papers or Posters.

* All official documentation including program booklet and list of participants ** A student is defined as a holder of a student identification card from a recognised tertiary or secondary educational institution or international student card. Students must be studying full time to qualify for the discounted rate. Please Note: A copy of your student identification card is required when you submit your registration form. Without this copy, the full registration fee will be charged.

› Payment of Fees
NOTE: Registrations will not be processed or confirmed until payment in full is received. All fees are to be paid in New Zealand Dollars.
Within New Zealand
Registration fees are to be paid in New Zealand Dollars. Payment may be made by personal cheque or credit card. MasterCard and Visa are the only credit cards accepted at the conference. Please note all transactions by credit card will appear on your statement as payment to Conference by THPL. Cheques should be made payable to the ASC/NZSA 2006 Conference.
Australia and International
Payments from overseas must be made by Visa or MasterCard only or by cheque in New Zealand Dollars. Your Names and full address should be typed or printed clearly on the back of the cheque. You may not pay your fees by direct transfer.
› Acknowledgements
Your registration and payment will be acknowledged in writing with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form. Your registration will not be processed or confirmed if payment does not accompany your form.
You will not receive any further publications before the conference. Your letter of acknowledgment will include any further advice necessary prior to your arrival at the conference. At the conference you will receive the final program, a copy of published papers/conference documentation and a list of delegates.
› Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Managers.
Cancellations received:
Before 27 April 2006 will incur an NZ$100 cancellation fee.
Before 25 May 2006 will receive a 50% refund of fees paid.
After 25 May 2006 there will be no refund.
Accommodation: Cancellation fee of 1 night’s room rate will be incurred from 1 June 2006
Social: Deposit is non-refundable at 1 June 2006
Tours : Deposit is non-refundable at 1 June 2006
› Entrance to Conference
Each member of the conference will receive a name badge on registration. The badge will be your official pass and must be worn to obtain entry to all sessions and to social functions.
› Letter of Invitation
On request with your registration details, the Organising Committee will send a letter of invitation to participate in the Conference. Such an invitation is extended specifically to assist participants to obtain travel funds or appropriate visas and does not imply any commitment on the part of the Organiser to provide financial support. Please complete section I of the registration form to request a letter. The letter will be forwarded to you with confirmation of your registration.
› Registration & Information/ Tours Desk
The Registration Desk will be located in Marlborough Foyer Level 5 and will be operating as follows:

The Conference Managers will be on-site for enquiries at other times. A Tours Desk will operate during conference hours.
› Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that at the time you register for the conference and book your travel you take out an insurance policy of your choice. The policy should include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the conference, or through cancellation of the conference, loss of international/domestic airfares through cancellation for any reason, loss of tour monies through cancellation for any reason including airline or related services strikes, failure to utilise tours or pre-booked arrangements due to airline delay, Force Majeure or any other reason, medical expenses (including sickness and accident cover), loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. The Conference Managers cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. This insurance is to be purchased in your country of origin.
› Grants
Students and Young Statisticians attending the conference are able to apply for grants.
Students in New Zealand may apply for the NZSA Grant

The NZSA has some funds available to support students at New Zealand Universities travelling to the conference. The amount available depends on how many students apply and the distance each has to travel. Any student interested in this travel support should contact Jennifer Brown: j.brown@math.canterbury.ac.nz before Tuesday 18 April 2006.
