Executive Summary And Full Paper Submission Procedure / Instructions
Invited Speakers can upload their Executive Summary and Full Paper via the online system. Please read the following instructions. Please do not submit papers if you are not an Invited Speaker.
All Invited Speakers are required to submit an Executive Summary and Full Paper for the inclusion in the official publications. Both the Executive Summary and Full Paper must be submitted using the supplied Microsoft Word Templates (See below).
Please note: Invited Speakers will be required to use the below template (WORD document) when submitting the Executive Summary and Full Paper.
All fields on the online Executive Summary and Full Paper submission form must be completed. Please print a copy of the submission forms for your records prior to clicking the submit button.
Do not resubmit your Executive Summary and Full Paper for any reason other than a notified submission error. If you do not receive a confirmation email with a receipt number that your abstract was successfully uploaded, please contact the Convention Managers.
Executive Summary and Full Paper will be published exactly as they are submitted, there will be no opportunity for amendments.
The Convention Managers will not be held responsible for Executive Summary and Full Paper submissions not received via the website or for submission errors caused by Internet service outages, hardware or software delays, power outages or unforeseen events.
It is the responsibility of the Invited Speakers to ensure that their papers are submitted correctly. After an invited speaker has submitted the Executive Summary and Full Paper, they must check their submission which will be converted to a PDF file to ensure the document has been uploaded correctly. Invited Speakers are able to check their submission by either an on screen viewing option in the submission form or request that a PDF file of the submission be emailed to them.
Faxed or mailed abstracts on diskettes / CD will not be accepted.

General Policies And Requirements For The Submission Of Abstracts
All Executive Summaries and Full Papers must contain original work that has not previously been reported.

All Executive Summaries and Full Papers must be prepared according to the guidelines provided. Incomplete or incorrect submissions will be returned to the speakers and must be resubmitted immediately in the correct format.
Executive Summary And Full Paper Content
The purpose of the Executive Summary and Full Paper is to define the precise subject of the presentation to an audience.
Length & Preparation Guidelines
Executive Summary: Must not exceed the 1 page - A4 page limit. All Executive Summaries will be printed in the Convention Program Book. An Executive Summary is a condensed version of the Full Paper and should give the readers the essential content of your Full Paper.
An Executive Summary should contain an outline of the issues examined, the methods used in the study, a statement of the results, and the conclusions of the paper.
Full Paper: Must not exceed 5 pages - A4 page size. All Full Papers will be printed in the Convention Proceedings. The following sections / format should be incorporated into your Full Paper.
The Executive Summary of the paper (same as above) should precede the INTRODUCTION. For papers other than review papers, the Introduction should be followed by a Methods section. Results should be given concisely with the aid of figures and/or tables and the Discussion should highlight the significance of the work. A Reference list should conclude the text.
Review papers may follow a free format, with appropriate headings, but must include the Executive Summary, Introduction and a reference list.

The Following Format Guidelines Apply To Both The Executive Summary And Full Paper
Title
The presentation title should be in Title Case , Bold, Times New Roman, 12 point font size, left and right justified .
Authors
The Authors' names should be typed in the Authors' section, under the presentation title. All authors are to be listed by their initials, followed by last name (e.g. B Smith). Underline the name of the presenting author. The affiliations should be typed under the list of authors' names. Each author should indicate institute, city, state and country. Do not include degrees or professional titles (e.g. Dr, Prof, etc). Authors must ensure that their name and affiliations are consistent between the different submissions.
For example:
B Smith
University of Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia
If the authors come from more than one affiliation, superscript numbers should be used to indicate the correct affiliation. For example;
B Smith1 , MJ Pattermore1,2, LC Ward2
1University of Sydney , Sydney , NSW, Australia
2University of Queensland, St Lucia , QLD, Australia
- The body text must be in Times New Roman font, 12pt size, single-spaced and justified.
- Leave a line between sections but do not indent.
- Use standard abbreviations only. Within the body of the document, when using abbreviations spell out the name in full at the first mention and follow with the abbreviation in parenthesis. Abbreviations may be used in the title, provided the name in full is outlined in the body of the paper.
- Capitalise the first letter of trade names.
Audio-Visual Equipment
Please be advised that only the following Audio-Visual facilities will be available in your session room:
- PC Laptop
- Data Projection (use of PowerPoint)
- Lectern and Microphone
You are requested to bring your PowerPoint Presentation on CD-Rom or USB Memory stick. Should your presentation be in MAC format, it is imperative that this be converted to PC format prior to arrival at the Convention.
Overhead Projection and Slide Projector facilities will not be available.
