The following tours are optional and are NOT included in the registration fee. Please complete Section E of the registration form if you would like to purchase tickets.

OT1: BridgeClimb

Date: Available Daily
Time: Scheduled departures every 10 minutes starting from 0905hrs
Cost: A$160.00 per person (Monday - Thursday)
A$185.00 per person (Friday - Sunday)

Climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge is an exhilarating experience. Rendezvous at the BridgeClimb office for a safety briefing and prepare for your three-hour adventure! Accompanied by an experienced leader your small team will cross the catwalk to the pylon and walk up to the summit of the Bridge’s upper arch - 130 metres above sea level. Participants are required to make their own way to the BridgeClimb office. Directions will be provided at the time of booking.

OT2: Main and Middle Harbour Coffee Cruise

Date: Available Daily
Time: 1000hrs and 1415hrs
Cost: A$44.00 per person

The Captain Cook Main and Middle Harbour Coffee Cruise departs daily from Sydney’s centrally located Circular Quay at both 1000 hrs and 1415 hrs. Onboard, take in all the splendid Harbour attractions including the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Fort Denison. This award-winning cruise also explores the upper reaches of Middle Harbour with its natural parklands, inner harbour beaches, marinas and waterfront homes. Cruise duration: 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Please note you will need to make your own way to Circular Quay (Circular Quay is walking distance or a short taxi ride from Sydney CBD hotels).

OT3: Hunter Valley Wine Country

Date: Available Daily
Time: 0800 - 1800hrs
Cost: A$155.00 per person

Travel inland to the picturesque Hunter Valley - Australia’s premier wine region. Tour a large established winery and a smaller boutique vineyard with experts who explain the wine-making process from vine to bottle. Savour award-winning Hunter classics including Chardonnay, Semillon and Shiraz and try the new generation Verdelho and Chambourcin varieties. Enjoy a delicious lunch, stroll through sun-kissed vineyards and learn why Hunter Valley wines are receiving worldwide acclaim.

These tours have been designed by Tour Hosts Pty Ltd for participating delegates and accompanying persons of 8th Australian Palliative Care Conference. All sightseeing tours include the services of a guide, all entry fees and meals where specified. All tours are based on a minimum number of participants. If this number is not reached, alternative places will be allocated strictly in order of receipt of bookings. Where participants cancel their day tour bookings prior to 29 July 2005, payment will be refunded in full. Thereafter, no refund will be made.
