Accommodation

Several categories of accommodation have been reserved for Workshop delegates:

Hotel
Single (SGL): A single occupancy room with one bed
Double (DBL): A double occupancy room with one bed
Twin (TWN): A double occupancy room with two beds
Darling Harbour Suite: A suite with either 1 double bed or 2 single beds. Separate bedroom and living area.

Executive Club: Guests staying in the Executive Club Rooms enjoy the exclusive use of the club lounge that offers daily continental breakfast, evening drinks and canapés and a place to relax, meet and work.

Apartment
1 Bedroom Apartment: An apartment with 1 double bed.
2 Bedroom Apartment: Either 1 double and 2 single beds or 2 double beds
3 Bedroom Apartment: 2 double beds and 2 single beds

• The below rates include the Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST).
• Rates may increase without notice due to changes in government charges, taxes or levies.

Official Workshop Hotel

Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour

Centrally located in the heart of Darling Harbour, Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour is adjacent to the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, directly opposite Harbourside Shopping Centre and
surrounded by Sydney's premier entertainment venues. The hotel boasts 525 spacious rooms all with 24-hour room service, access to in-room email, fax and internet, security key-card locks, STD/ISD telephone, radio/remote control colour TV (current channels include BBC World News), in-house movies, coffee/tea making facilities, mini-bar, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, bath and shower and individually controlled airconditioning. Non-smoking rooms are available.

Workshop delegates staying at Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour will receive a 25% beverage discount card for “Liquid…a Bar” and a reduced breakfast rate of A$22.00 per person for full buffet breakfast at "Dish…a Restaurant” (valued at A$27.50).

Rates

Accommodation held by the Workshop Managers has been secured at highly competitive rates for Workshop delegates.

Deposit

Rooms are being held by the Workshop Managers on behalf of the delegates until 4 March 2005. All hotel accommodation bookings must be accompanied by a minimum one night's rate in order to secure a reservation. The Workshop Managers will accept accommodation deposits up until 4 March 2005 and will settle the deposit with the hotel. Delegates must settle the balance of their account with the hotel concerned upon check out.

Late bookings can be made through the Workshop Managers after 4 March 2005 but are subject to availability and credit card details are required to secure the reservation. One night's room rate will be deducted from the supplied card, by the hotel, if the reservation is cancelled or the delegate fails to arrive on the specified date.

How To Book Accommodation

To book, complete the Online Registration Form. The Workshop Managers will forward your reservation and deposit to the hotel of your choice.

Change of Booking

Any change to a reservation must be notified to the Workshop Managers and not directly to the hotel. Please note, any changes should be made to the Workshop Managers by 22 March 2005. Cancellations must be made in writing.

Late Arrivals

Please indicate on your registration form or notify the Workshop Managers in writing if you will arrive at your hotel after 1800 hours, failure to do so may mean that your room will be released.

Arrival Time

Many international flights arrive into Australia in the early morning. Hotel check-in time is usually 1500 hours. If you are to arrive before this time it is probable that you will not be able to gain access to your room. To guarantee a room to be available for an early arrival you will need to pre-register and pay for your room for the previous night. If required please indicate on your registration form.

Accommodation Refunds

The deposit is non-refundable at 25 February 2005 and will be forfeited if you do not arrive on the date for which you have booked.
