Dear Colleagues

In 1982 only 32% of the average company’s asset base was comprised of intangible assets. By 2000 that figure had increased to over 70%.

The increasing importance on intangibles is significant and LESANZ has designed its annual conference for 2005 around this paradigm shift. The theme is “Building Shareholder Value through Intellectual Property Management”. A great selection of local and international speakers will participate in the innovative and interactive program being developed for the event.

Those attending the conference will hear lively and practical presentations from speakers who have “been there before” and who are willing to share the lessons they have learned. Topics include the obligations owed by company directors to shareholders in an era where intellectual property will be responsible for providing the company with its sustainable competitive advantage.
Stimulating presentations will be matched by an equally stimulating venue - located adjacent to Sydney Harbour Foreshore at one of Sydney’s icon attractions, Luna Park. Rest assured, time will be made available for those delegates who want to sample the rides and other amusements of Luna Park!
