The CSANZ 2009 Annual Scientific Meeting Organising Committee would like to thank all participants involved in this year’s Meeting for helping to contribute to such a successful event.

The 2009 event broke many records set by past Meetings:

• Over 2300 delegates attended this year which convincingly surpassed previous Meetings
• 64 exhibiting companies helped to make the CSANZ 2009 exhibition the largest yet, and
• A record number of abstract submissions were received.

An exceptional scientific programme was delivered including mini oral presentations and electronic posters that were introduced to the programme for the first time this year.

We would like to thank our valued sponsors and exhibitors for their valuable participation. Without our industry supporters the great success of the Meeting would not be possible.

We would also like to thank the delegates who took the time to complete the Meeting evaluation form that was distributed post Meeting - we very much appreciate your comments. Meeting Venue - Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre (SCEC)

The Conference will be held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre (SCEC), Darling Harbour. This large purpose-built facility, seen in the foreground of the accompanying photograph, is set in 50 hectares of parks, gardens, museums, shopping malls and amusement areas. Nestled on the shores of Darling Harbour, the venue has magnificent views of the city and is only a short walk to several attractions. Next to the Convention Centre is the Harbourside shopping and restaurant complex.

With a wide range of sizes of meeting rooms and exhibition halls, SCEC will provide a fully integrated facility for the conference and exhibition. It is within walking distance of many of Sydney's attractions, including the National Maritime Museum, Sydney Aquarium, Star City Casino and the IMAX Theatre.
