What to do in Newcastle?

Newscastle Nobbys - Named because of its shape, Nobbys was originally an island converted into a breakwall that was erected by convicts to protect the harbour. In good weather a walk down the breakwall to enjoy the lighthouse and views is magnificent.

Harbourside, Beumont Street and Darby Street – Take a closer look at the diverse dining and entertainment precincts in Newcastle. The harbourside area of town offers chic restaurants; cosmopolitan dining can be experienced in Beaumont Street; and a range of pubs sporting live music, and trendy coffee houses late night diners, dot inner city Darby Street.

Christ Church Cathedral - A survivor of the Japanese submarine attack of WWII and the 1989 Newcastle Earthquake, Christ Church Cathedral has been fully restored and is now open to visitors to take in the beautiful grounds and views available from one of Newcastle’s centerpieces. Tours are available.
