Introducing the New EdCaN Education ResourcesTarget audience: Nurse Educators / University Providers of Cancer Units for Nurses
The aim of this afternoon workshop is to introduce clinical educators to the newly developed EdCaN suite of resources. The National Cancer Nursing Education (EdCaN) project received funding from the Australian Government through Cancer Australia and has been auspiced by Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. The project provides a way forward for the development of the cancer nursing workforce in Australia through a framework and a set of capabilities outlining the role expectations of nurses working in cancer control. It also provides resource materials to help nurses acquire these capabilities. This workshop will demonstrate the resources and provide case examples of the use of these resources in practice.
