Dear Colleague,
We who are fortunate enough to be residents know Sydney to be one of the great cosmopolitan cities of the world. Turquoise water lapping at the harbour foreshores, surf crashing onto the sands of Bondi Beach and the hubbub of multicultural life, fine tuned to an elegant libretto at the Sydney Opera House. Add to this, the spice of scientific dissertation on such diverse subjects as tissue engineering, prosthetics, ventilatory mechanics, and advances in nutrition and the stimulation of sharing our own knowledge and expertise in burns care with colleagues – this is nectar indeed.
As President of ANZBA, I and all the members of the organising committee would like to entice you to Sydney in September. You may simply care to come to watch but you may like on the other hand, to present a poster or a paper, participate in lively discussions over lunch, see the latest trade displays, and to take the opportunity to dance all night, jog down the beach before breakfast and on one afternoon, crew on a 30 foot racing yacht for the inaugural ANZBA sailing challenge. This is the meeting of a lifetime; can you afford not to be there?

The Australian and New Zealand Burn Association (ANZBA) was formed in 1976 and later incorporated in 1991. The principal object of this Association is to encourage higher standards of both burn injury prevention and burn patient care through research and education.
