Opening Ceremony & Welcome Reception

Venue: Adelaide Convention Centre
Dress: Smart Casual
An invitation is extended to all delegates and registered accompanying persons to attend the Opening Ceremony at the Adelaide Convention Centre. The Opening Ceremony will incorporate a range of regional performances and official proceedings tailored to the Congress. This will be followed by the Welcome Reception, where guests will enjoy light canapés and sample local beverages. This is a great time to renew old friendships and make new acquaintances as we welcome you to Adelaide.

Venue: ADIA Industry Exhibition, Adelaide Convention Centre
Dress: Casual
After a full day’s program, come and relax with your colleagues and friends in the ADIA Industry Exhibition for Happy Hour. Complimentary beverages and light canapés will be served as you take time to mingle and enjoy the exhibition.

The Waves Nightclub, located in the Hyatt Hotel, will be open exclusively to the Young Dentists of the Congress. Be sure to visit the Nightclub, as it will be a great opportunity to party with friends and fellow colleagues.

OS1 Gala Dinner Dance

Venue: Adelaide Oval

A memorable highlight of the Congress is the Gala Dinner Dance in the grounds of the historic Adelaide Oval. Adelaide Oval is widely regarded as the most picturesque Test cricket ground in the world, with St Peter's Cathedral rising behind an elegant Edwardian scoreboard and Moreton Bay fig trees at the northern end, the Mount Lofty Ranges to the east, and nearby city skyline to the south. Enjoy a delicious three course dinner with local South Australian wines and dancing to a great band. An ideal opportunity to mingle and meet fellow delegates. There is a maximum number of seats – first paid, first ticketed.

OS2 Nocturnal Wildlife Tour
Time: 1800 - 2200
Discover unique Australian wildlife in its natural environment during this nocturnal tour to Warrawong Earth Sanctuary – South Australia’s premier ecotourism complex.
Accompanied by a specialist guide, enjoy a fascinating 90-minute guided walk along trails surrounded by natural bushland. As darkness descends, watch as the native wildlife comes out to feed. This tour also includes a two-course “Bush Tucker” dinner accompanied by a glass of wine or soft drink at Warrawong’s award-winning restaurant.

As an optional event you will be taken by shuttle to the historic Penfolds Magill Estate.Penfolds has since grown into Australia’s most famous wine and its home, Magill Estate, has evolved into a truly unique venue.

Over two hours you will enjoy a structured wine tasting, conducted by one of the senior winemakers from the award winning Penfolds Wines.

OS5 Penfolds Magill Estate Heritage Tour and Tasting
Time: 1830 – 2000

Those people not wishing to participate in the Penfolds Wines Master Class, but who would like to experience the history of Penfolds are welcome to join us on a Penfolds Magill Estate Heritage Tour and Tasting. Tour of the historic Penfolds Magill Estate Site includes viewing:
• The Historic Penfolds Cottage built in 1844,
• Winemaking areas,
• Maturation cellars,
•A complete set of Penfolds Grange – all
accompanied by a glass of Sparkling Wine (of course!), and
•Concluding
with a tasting of Penfolds fine`wines.
There is a limit of 40 people for this tour and tasting.
Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant Indulgence
You have the option to stay following the Master Class and Heritage Tour and Tasting, and indulge in the multi award winning Magill Estate Restaurant 5 Course Degustation Menu.
The chef’s degustation dinner will feature modern Australian cuisine with French and Italian influences. The Magill Estate Restaurant highlights the importance of pairing five-star cuisine with unparalleled wines.

Standard and Premium official Congress wine packs are available to delegates of the Congress - a fantastic souvenir of the Congress and South Australia. Each pack comes with a selection of 3 superb Penfolds wines, with official Congress sticker.

Congress Wine can be pre-purchased by completing Section F of your Registration Form. Your wine will be ready for collection when you register for the Congress.
Pre-purchasing is essential, as there is a limited number of each wine pack available. The initial allocation will be on a first paid, first allocated basis. One pack each of Standard & Premium pack per delegate. There is a limit of 100 Premium packs. However any remaining wine packs will be available for purchase onsite at the Congress Registration desk.
