Hotel bookings are no longer available via the online registration form. Should you wish to make a new booking or make changes to an existing booking, please contact the hotel directly by using the contact form below.
If you are making a new booking request please remember to include in your message the following details: Arrival and departure date Bed type required (i.e. King or Twin).
Please note the hotel will request your credit card details to secure the booking. In addition please also note that your booking or change is not confirmed until your receive the confirmation from the hotel.
Please note - Hotel Ibis Darling Harbour and Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour have the same contact email address. To enable the hotel to respond to your email in a timely manner please ensure the hotel name that you require is noted within the text of your email request.
Please note as per the terms and conditions of all accommodation bookings: All deposits are non -refundable if reservation is cancelled on or after the 14th July 2009 and will also be forfeited if you do not arrive on the date for which you have booked for. If you have used credit card details to guarantee your reservation please be aware one nights room rate will be deducted from the supplied card, by the hotel, if the reservation is cancelled or you fail to arrive on the specified date.
Several categories of accommodation have been reserved for Expo attendees:

Single (SGL): A single occupancy room with one bed
Double (DBL): A double occupancy room with one bed
Twin (TWN): A double occupancy room with two beds
Apartment
Studio Apartment: An apartment with 1 double bed. Combined bedroom and living area.
One Bedroom Apartment: An apartment with 1 double bed.
Two Bedroom Apartment: Either 1 double and 2 single beds or 2 double beds
Three Bedroom Apartment: 2 double beds and 2 single beds or 1 double and 4 single beds.

Official Hotel
All delegates staying at the Official Hotel, Star City Hotel and Apartments and booking through the housing bureau will receive a welcome drink voucher on arrival.

Star City is only 10mins walk to the Sydney CBD and is within easy access (Light Rail) of Darling Harbour and the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Rates
Accommodation held by the Housing Bureau has been secured at highly competitive rates for Expo attendees.
Deposit
Rooms are being held by the Housing Bureau on behalf of the attendees until 14 July 2009. All hotel accommodation bookings must be accompanied by a minimum one night’s room rate or credit card details in order to secure a reservation. The Housing Bureau will accept accommodation deposits up until 14 July 2009 and will settle the deposit with the hotel. Attendees must settle the balance of their account with the hotel concerned upon check out.
Late bookings can be made through the Housing Bureau after 14 July 2009 but are subject to availability and credit card details are required to secure the reservation. One nights room rate will be deducted from the supplied card, by the hotel, if the reservation is cancelled or the delegate fails to arrive on the specified date.
How To Book Accommodation
To book complete the Online Booking Form. The Housing Bureau will forward your contact details, reservation and deposit or credit card details to the hotel of your choice.
Change of Booking
Any change to a reservation must be notified to the Housing Bureau and not directly to the hotel. Please note that any changes should be made to the Housing Bureau by 27 July 2009.
Late Arrivals
Please indicate on your registration form or notify the Housing Bureau in writing if you will arrive at your hotel after 1800 hours, failure to do so may mean that your room will be released.
Check-in and Check-out times
For most hotels, Check-in time is 3.00pm and Check-out time is 11.00am. Should you wish to guarantee check-in before 3.00pm you will need to pre-book, and pay for the previous night. If you wish to guarantee a late checkout you will need to book for the next night. These additional nights can be booked at the time of making your reservation. If required please indicate on your registration form.
Hotel Check in Procedures
As per standard hotel policies and procedures attendees will be required to provide a credit card or full cash payment upon check in. This is to cover any incidental charges incurred during your stay and all remaining unpaid room nights, regardless if your booking was guaranteed by a deposit to secure your booking.
The hotel will hold on your credit card, until point of check out, all unpaid accommodation nights reserved plus a daily amount for incidental charges. If you will be settling your accommodation account by cash you will be asked to pre pay for your accommodation in full plus a cash deposit for incidentals. Should you not utilize any incidentals during your stay the cash deposit, for incidentals only, will be refunded to you by the hotel upon check out. Please note the daily incidental charge may vary across the listed hotels.
Accommodation Cancellation Policy
The deposit is non-refundable at 14 July 2009 and will be forfeited if you do not arrive on the date for which you have booked or you cancel your accommodation. Cancellations must be made in writing.
