Invitation
On behalf of the 2008 Organising Committee and the Australian Federation of Medical Women, I would like to extend a warm invitation to our colleagues and friends to attend the Medical Women’s International Association, Western Pacific Regional Congress to be held at the Sofitel Hotel in the heart of Melbourne, Australia from the 17 – 19 October, 2008.
This year’s Congress aims to provide an exciting forum where participants can:
- Identify and discuss effective ways in which women doctors bridge barriers through advocacy
- Discuss overcoming regional issues that adversely affect the health and well-being of women and their children
- Describe innovations and interventions used to promote health and prevent illness
- Explore global and local environmental issues as determinants of public health and
- Identify professional issues and discuss solutions for women in medicine.
The Organising Committee have been busy developing a comprehensive Congress program covering a wide range of topics that are relevant to medical women.
This Congress is certain to have something for everyone so I hope you can come and join us in Melbourne!
